My adventures began nearly four decades ago, when I embarked on a rousing journey as a Dungeon Master (DM) with the iconic "Red Box" in the late 80s. I knew instantly upon finishing this initial foray that tabletop gaming would be a lifelong passion obsession. Since that first game session, I’ve worked relentlessly to hone my storytelling and world-building skills, crafting immersive experiences for those at my table.
After years of playing and running games, I decided to take the leap into publishing TTRPG materials with my debut work, "The Verdant Vault." Drawing from my long experience as a DM and a deep love for immersive storytelling, I hope this module showcases the culmination of decades of dedication and passion for gaming. For me, the joy of storytelling knows no bounds (much like a great campaign), and I hope "The Verdant Vault" is only the beginning of countless tales awaiting eager adventurers.
The name of my publishing endeavor, Joker & Thief Publishing, is a heartfelt homage to the legendary adventures of my most beloved character, Mercutio Rashbrook, the mischievous elven "joker," and his wily half brother Decker, the cunning “thief.” For decades, these rapscallions sauntered through the bustling streets of Greyhawk City and beyond, leaving a trail of laughter, intrigue, and wonder in their wake. Their escapades, woven with humor, wit, and a dash of roguish charm, endeared them to players and characters alike. Joker & Thief Publishing aims to capture the essence of those unforgettable journeys, inviting gamers to step into the vibrant worlds of imagination and mischief that these characters represent.
